As you know we started this big ass crew Rogue Squadron right. In 2005 right. Now RS has grown and grown and out comes the first mixtape, or as we prefer to call it, MIXTAPZ. It features some remixes, some singles from upcoming releases, some unreleased singles, and some just fuck around in a mixtape songs. It's dope, I've listened to it thousands of times d lolwut.
TRS involvement includes including our single bakdatang, two solo solely-for-mixtapz joints from me and WordsManifest, some remixes by Micwreck, and production or feature emceeing duties on some other songs.
We're gonna give it for free at the Unity Concert tonight. And uh a few more upcoming hip hop gigs around KL. We'll consider net release later on tho. Right.
Look out for it aight.

KL Undercover and Resistiv3's Back2Back Sessions (aftermath)
Aight. Regarding two urban gigs some of us were involved in and I managed to attend.
First was KL Undercover, a bit trouble finding the place as we bumped into the restaurant first but the usher quickly ushered us off to the club round the back. Cliq played his first ever full mixset, seriously dude didn't sleep the night before practicing his styluses off.
I've gotten a preview of the set beforehand so I knew what it is. He started slow with the jazzy soulful ish and made his way up to the bumpers and then on to the hype ones. It was pretty dope especially for a first-timer, he also used the MPD a lot for sound effects which was pretty cool. The crowd was slowly getting into it but since this is a very rare occasion it might take a few gigs before the party really starts.
Then CZA took over and he went straight to the good old boom bap with some really sharp mixing. Really dope. Apologies to him though cause some of us left way too early into his set. Yang Ariff was emceeing for him (with Vice Versa joining him later on). Me and WordsManifest did for Cliq.
It was a modest gig with very good intentions to bring back hip hop and r&b into the scene. Props to organizer Kevin. I hope this series of gigs will achieve what Kevin hopes to cause if it does we will all benefit a whole lot from it. Pics here by Ili.
Next up was just this weekend, Resistiv3's Back2Back Sessions. It was done at Palate Palette (hope I got that right). The organizers brought along two big ass subwoofers this time since this is dnb afterall. Tubby started the party nicely with low tempo'ed beats, something to warm you up and get your heads nodding for a while. Perez was handling the vids and had some dope Borat and Kesatria Baja Hitam footages while Cliq did all the scratching (and got Headshell Heroes members to cameo). After Tubby departed Anowl, MH, and Mac took to the mixing duties. They did their usual crazy shit, it was perfect to get the crowd hyped and ready for Kain. And then finally the highlight of the night himself came up and shot down the whole place like he was Scarface. Machine gun shit.
You could say it was like one of those perfect dnb nights, with everybody just moving their bodies and shouting and having a good time. The DJs enjoying themselves playing the tunes they wanna play with no restrictions. And the speakers surviving the night's heavy pounding sonic onslaught (it had to with these mindbending dj's performing). Pics here by Ili.
